About the Role

As a Multi Skilled Technician, you'll provide essential facilities support services across our client site. You'll handle a variety of maintenance and business support tasks, reporting to the site supervisor for reactive, planned, and ad hoc maintenance.

Main Duties

  • Perform weekly and monthly planned maintenance (e.g., fire alarm tests, water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests).
  • Take monthly utilities meter readings.
  • Respond to reactive repairs.
  • Replace defective lighting.
  • Conduct minor building repairs, decorating, and plumbing.
  • Handle general office cleaning for remote sites (by exception).
  • Assist with moves, furniture management, and other porterage duties.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work orders.
  • Comply with Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
  • Complete required documentation, including RAMS, and adhere to all permits.
  • Participate in standby rota for emergency calls outside normal hours.
  • Provide cover for holidays and sickness absence.
  • Assist all trades within the team and complete tasks outside your core skills with proper training.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, keeping building occupants informed of work progress.
  • Proactively report maintenance or H&S issues to the help desk and manager.

  • Good understanding of health and safety in a building environment.

  • Willingness to undertake further training.
  • Ability to schedule and manage additional/remedial works.
  • Experience writing and following risk and method statements.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of building statutory compliance.
  • Accurate record-keeping on worksheets and computer systems.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment.
  • Desire to achieve success for yourself, the business, and the customer.
  • Flexible approach to work and hours (subject to the EU Working Time Directive).
  • Professional appearance and use of uniform and PPE.
  • Responsibility for maintaining a safe working environment as per Health and Safety regulations.
