A wonderful Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Maidenhead is looking for an Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has worked with children in any capacity-be it in tutoring, mentoring, youth work, or as a teaching assistant-or someone with a desire to develop their skills in an education setting.
This role involves providing support to children with complex needs, including Autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Your goal will be to build positive relationships, support their learning, and help them overcome barriers to education.
Your Responsibilities
As an Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant, your duties will include:
- Supporting students in one-on-one or small group settings to help them achieve their goals.
- Encouraging emotional regulation and promoting positive behaviour.
- Assisting in the delivery of tailored lesson plans in collaboration with teachers and support staff.
- Helping children develop key life skills and build self-confidence.
- Contributing to the school's inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Position Details
- Role: Emotional & Behavioural Support Assistant
- Location: Maidenhead
- Pay Rate: 83 - 95 per day (based on experience and qualifications)
- Contract: Long-term with potential for permanent placement
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
- Experience: SEN experience is desirable but not essential-enthusiasm and empathy are key!
