Technical Engineer  Profectus Recruitment is seeking a skilled Technical Engineer for a leading IT services provider. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing technical support and solutions across various customer sites. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows-based environments.
  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365.
  • Configure and manage Hyper-V, SharePoint Online, and networking infrastructure.
  • Support firewalls (Meraki, Draytek, Sophos) and cloud-based services.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and mentor junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Full UK work rights and driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a Technical Engineer or similar IT support role.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise workload.
  • Expertise in:
    • Windows Server 2012+, Windows 10+.
    • Networking (DNS, routing, switching, security).
    • Microsoft 365, Hyper-V, SharePoint Online.
    • Firewall management (Meraki, Draytek, Sophos).
Desirable Skills:
  • Recognised IT accreditations (Microsoft, Cisco, HP ASE).
  • VoIP (Gamma), MS Teams, cloud-based platforms.
  • Cisco/HP network infrastructure knowledge.
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell, batch files, VBScripts).
  • Experience in an MSP environment.
