Job Title: IT EngineerLocation: Maidenhead predominantly with some travel to London, Southeast and Midlands.About the Company:Join a dynamic Principal Contractor that is at the forefront of building energy-efficient structures and providing exceptional refurbishment and fire safety services across various sectors, including education, healthcare, and commercial industries.The Role:We are seeking a skilled IT Engineer to become a vital part of our clients growing team. In this role, you will provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for a diverse range of IT systems and equipment. You will primarily be based at their Head Office but will also travel to various project sites.Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-site surveys to assess connectivity and network requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand IT package specifications.
  • Oversee the procurement and preparation of necessary IT equipment.
  • Test equipment and software applications during installation setups.
  • Supervise the installation of IT infrastructure, including cabling and equipment setup.
  • Provide training to construction site staff on installed equipment and offer ongoing support.
  • Manage incidents escalated from the helpdesk and liaise with internal teams.
  • Maintain optimal availability of IT resources and ensure security compliance.
  • Assist in the administration of Microsoft 365 and deployment of applications.
  • Maintain documentation and contribute to the development of best practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment as an IT Service Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Experience in configuring and managing network devices, including routers and switches.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Project management skills to effectively delegate tasks and monitor progress.
  • Relevant certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, Microsoft Certification.
  • Full clean UK driving license and enhanced DBS check.
