My client is seeking two Catering Assistants to join their team during the busy festive period. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in cooking and preparing meals, who are ready to start immediately. You will play a crucial role in supporting and assisting the Independent Living Catering Manager, ensuring high-quality service delivery to their customers over the age of 55.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Support and assist the Independent Living Catering Manager.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the restaurant and catering service within our independent living schemes, ensuring quality and presentation.
  • Prepare and cook food according to menus, consult with customers, and assist with special catering functions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide a customer-led, seamless service to all stakeholders including volunteers, residents, and external customers.
  • Operate in line with key policies and procedures, safeguarding particularly those related to health and safety and data protection.
  • Deliver meals across independent living schemes as required.
  • Work flexible hours including out of office hours, weekends, and bank holidays to meet service needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in cooking and meal preparation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to the needs of the service.
  • Strong commitment to health and safety standards and data protection.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
