Our client is a forward-thinking, innovative and friendly law firm. Their Real Estate Team is currently seeking an enthusiastic support assistant to join their Maidenhead office. The role involves providing secretarial and administrative support to the team.

Previous Commercial Property experience would be ideal, but we will consider a strong Legal Secretary from other sectors of law.

Duties:

  • Assist the Real Estate Team in ensuring smooth progress of work and excellent client service.
  • Handle general typing, digital dictation, document inputting, and correspondence as directed by lawyers.
  • Utilise the firm's Case Management system to prepare relevant documents, deeds, and conduct Land searches.
  • Address post-completion issues, such as contacting the Land Registry to remove charges and managing agents for leasehold properties.
  • Submit registrations within the priority period and handle Land Registry requisitions and post-completion queries.
  • Ensure clear ledger and file organization, preparing documents for lenders/clients, and arranging submissions to HMRC and Land Registry.
  • Assist lawyers with requisitions from the Land Registry, pass files for scheduling, and handle discharge of undertakings.
  • Assist with retention releases, compliance-related client letters, filing, archiving, and retrieval of client files.
  • Manage appointments, new clients, and maintain lawyer diaries.
  • Handle postage and other administrative tasks required for the Real Estate Team's work.
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of firm and client documentation/information.

Skills And Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in computer usage, including familiarity with our case management system.
  • Excellent typing skills and experience with digital dictation systems.
  • Preferably, experience in a property-based role.

The salary for this role is dependent on experience however we believe this to be in the region of £25,000 - £28,000. There is also a very lucrative benefits package available with the role.
