Job Role for the Manufacturing Engineer:

Antennas and Avionics manufacturing support engineer to work with Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations to meet OTD targets and improve productivity.

  • Provide real-time technical support to resolve production issues, including equipment failures, quality concerns and process inefficiencies.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process optimisation. cost reduction and continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
  • Provide support for RF testing, validation, and performance verification of antenna designs and components to ensure alignment with specifications.
  • Coordinate with test department and production teams to resolve any testing discrepancies or failure modes.
  • Support Design for Manufacture (DFM) activities for new and existing products.
  • Manage manufacturing activities during the transition from development to production.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive production documentation, including job routings and work instructions.
  • Process simulation of manufacturing process and optimisation of manufacturing process.
  • Monitor and analyse production data to track performance, identify trends, and suggest improvements.

The successful Manufacturing Engineer will have the below skills and experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing, production, engineering or technical role, with antennas, RF and electronics or similar experience
  • Electronic testing simulation software. (Electronic manufacturing and test simulation with PLM software.)
  • Experience managing engineering projects and delivering productivity improvement initiatives
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and quality systems.
  • BSc (hons) or MSc in Electronics Engineering, experience with electronics and RF components
  • Experience with New Product Introduction
  • Charted Engineer or working towards 
  • Hands on experience with RF systems, analogue and digital circuits, antennas and electronics manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies
