Based in Maidenhead

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a leading specialist Mechanical Engineering Contractor based in Maidenhead. This contractor is recognised for their expertise in designing, producing, and installing prefabricated mechanical packages for industries such as data centres, semiconductors, and pharmaceuticals throughout the UK and Europe. This role is primarily office-based, with occasional travel to sites across Europe.

The role will involve supporting the design, planning, and delivery of mechanical packages, including Plantroom Mechanical Skids, Packaged Plantrooms, Mechanical Service Modules, and Prefab Pipework. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with the project team to ensure that all packages meet project requirements, quality standards, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design and planning of mechanical systems, ensuring alignment with project specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate with design, commercial, and on-site teams to support project goals and deadlines.
  • Review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Provide technical support to the project management team and resolve any design or technical issues.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to ensure installations meet design and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience working as a Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in data centre, semiconductor, or pharmaceutical industries is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both remote and on-site teams.
