They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with experience in clean water, wastewater, or treatment plants to join their growing team and contribute to critical infrastructure projects.The Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • A degree or qualification in Mechanical Engineering (BEng, MEng, HND, HNC, etc.).
  • Proven experience working on projects within the clean water or wastewater sectors, including treatment plants.
  • Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, pipelines, and other equipment used in water treatment systems.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as WIMES.
  • Knowledge of mechanical installation and commissioning processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
The Mechanical Engineer role will involve:
  • Designing, developing, and specifying mechanical systems for clean water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Producing detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Collaborating with project teams to ensure designs meet client and industry requirements.
  • Conducting site visits to oversee installations, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during project execution.
  • Ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations and safety standards.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize system performance and reduce costs.
  • Providing technical support to clients and other team members.
