A Day in the Life of a CPN: Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse and make a real difference in the lives of women and families within a perinatal mental health service. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments and risk evaluations.

  • Developing and implementing personalised care and treatment plans.

  • Medication management and participation in duty rotas.

  • Carrying a caseload and providing continuity of care.

  • Overseeing students and supporting their learning and development.

  • Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and midwives.

  • Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records in line with compliance standards.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN.

  • Experience in perinatal mental health services is ideal but not essential.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Commitment to delivering high-quality mental health & nursing care.

  • Car driver essential.

Working Hours & Contract Duration: This full-time role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with the possibility of some part-remote working. The contract is for 3 months ongoing, with a strong likelihood of extension based on performance and service needs.
