About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our multi-professional Children & Young People Disability Service (CYPDS). This team supports children and young people (0-25 years) with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

In this role, you will work in close partnership with families to assess occupational therapy needs in home settings, ensuring children and young people receive the appropriate support and interventions to promote independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct occupational therapy assessments to support children with complex needs.
  • Develop individualized intervention plans to enhance daily living skills.
  • Provide specialist reports for EHCPs and multi-disciplinary team assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to training and support for caregivers and educational staff.
What We’re Looking For:
  • BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registration.
  • Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, including assessment and intervention.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and neuro-developmental conditions.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
