Exciting Opportunity for HGV 1 Specialist with Career Growth!

Elite Recruitment Solutions is thrilled to partner with a forward-thinking manufacturer of amphibious vehicles, a company renowned for its innovation and expertise. While most of the role will be based in the UK, this position offers unique opportunities for travel both across the UK and overseas.

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled HGV 1 Specialist, someone with a strong technical background, ideally from an engineering degree or extensive experience as an HGV mechanic, and has moved on to a compliance, quality management, or training-focused role. This is a dynamic and challenging position offering tremendous career development potential.

Key Responsibilities:

As the After Sales Specialist, you will:

  • Be the ‘Go-To’ Expert: Once a client receives their amphibious vehicle, you’ll become their primary contact for any technical queries—whether that’s troubleshooting, maintenance advice, or general support. Your communication will be through phone, email, Teams, and even face-to-face interactions when required.

  • Global Responsibility: Your role will require you to oversee the performance of vehicles, both within the UK and abroad. You’ll work directly with clients to monitor vehicle performance and ensure everything is running smoothly.

  • Create and Deliver: Write and update service manuals and training materials, ensuring that both clients and workshop teams are fully equipped to maintain and troubleshoot the vehicles efficiently. You’ll also create detailed reports and coordinate with the team to ensure high-quality maintenance services.

  • Lead Technicians and Allocate Work: Organise and manage the daily work of the workshop team, ensuring that repairs are done by technicians according to their expertise, and that deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.

  • Training and Support: You will be there from the very start, assisting clients in getting to know their new vehicle, offering hands-on training, and supporting them with any ongoing needs.

Career Growth & Development: As the role evolves, you'll have the opportunity to develop and grow within the company, with the potential to lead an entire after-sales team. You’ll work closely with the Workshop Manager, gaining hands-on experience in vehicle manufacturing (diesel, electric, and more) and contributing to the future direction of the company’s after-sales strategy. The role will expand as the business grows, providing you with the opportunity to grow and advance your career in ways you never imagined.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong HGV technical experience
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Proficiency in writing technical manuals and reports
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to plan, allocate, and manage technician workloads effectively
  • A passion for problem-solving and ensuring customer satisfaction

You may have also worked as a Marine Engineer or in the forces working on HGV or amphibious vehicles

Why This Role Is Exciting:

  • Global Travel: Support clients not only across the UK but also internationally.
  • Career Development: Join a company with immense potential for growth and development, with plans to expand the aftercare team and deepen your technical knowledge.
  • Variety: Each day will bring new challenges, from troubleshooting and maintenance to client training and technical support.
  • Supportive Environment: Become a crucial member of a dynamic team, helping to shape the future of the business.

What You’ll Get in Return:

  • Competitive base salary
  • 28 days holiday (including public holidays)
  • Private medical insurance
  • Pension contributions
  • Discounts on products
  • Incentive days and events
  • The chance to be part of a company that truly values its team and encourages personal and professional development.

This is an incredible opportunity to join an innovative company that offers both exciting challenges and the chance to carve out a career path with international scope. If you’re looking for a role that combines your technical expertise with travel, leadership, and career growth, we want to hear from you!
