Our client, a well-established organisation based in Maidenhead is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their friendly payroll team of 3. In this role you will be responsible for processing and servicing payroll clients.

Starting salary is circa £30,000 depending on experience, plus benefits. The role offers excellent training and development opportunities. Potential for hybrid working and reduced hours if desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communicate directly with clients on phone and email. Liaise with partners and managers and ensure payrolls are prepared and run and paid by due dates.
  • Ensure payroll control sheets/work flow are maintained and kept up to date.
  • Ensure month end payroll fee notes are prepared and dated in the month to which the payroll run belongs.
  • Devise systems and control checks for clients to improve payroll accuracy.
  • Keep abreast of budget, minimum wage and year-end payroll changes.

Key Requirements

  • Previous Payroll experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Keen to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Able to communicate well over telephone and email.
  • Work well within payroll team.
