Immediate Start - Full-Time
Autism Specialism & Complex Needs

A specialist school near Maidenhead is looking for a recent Psychology or Criminology graduate to join their dedicated team and support students managing social, emotional, and mental health needs. This is an excellent role for a graduate aiming for a future career in psychology, with a genuine passion for helping children with psychological challenges.

The students at this school come from a variety of backgrounds, with some facing difficulties related to trauma, anxiety, attachment issues, and neglect. They need assistance in processing their emotions and developing strategies to manage them independently. As a supportive team member, you will play a vital role in helping them build emotional resilience and self-regulation skills.

Your role will involve collaborating with the class teacher and experienced staff members to provide both classroom and one-on-one support. You'll assist in managing challenging behaviors, keeping students focused, and identifying triggers related to their mental health needs.

You will have the chance to employ therapeutic techniques, restorative practices, and work alongside Psychologists and Therapists within the school, providing a unique and enriching professional experience.

The ideal candidate will be proactive, compassionate, and enthusiastic about mental health. While prior experience working with children or adults with additional needs is beneficial, a willingness to learn and engage is most important.
