This current need for a Clinical Educator sits within our client's Neuroscience franchise. The successful candidate will provide product educational services to healthcare professionals (HCPs) within the multidisciplinary team. Support HCPs to increase their knowledge, clinical understanding and advocacy of the company's products in this therapeutic area (and approved indications).

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Improve patient care in Spasticity by supporting healthcare professionals (HCPs) to confidently assess patients and enable the appropriate use of company products.
  • Ensure positive HCP experience with company products by providing ongoing clinical and educational support.
  • Build strong relationships and advocacy with HCPs nationally and within key accounts.
  • Be seen as a valued resource through the quality of the education and support provided.
  • Maintain up to date in-depth technical knowledge of specialty, disease areas, AbbVie products and competitive marketplace.
  • Work with the cross functional team to prioritise target accounts, given the National scope of the role.
  • Provide insight and share best practice to inform National and Territory account plans, including proactively identifying opportunities to add value to HCPs and patients
  • Monitor and review specific actions as identified and agreed within National and Territory account plans.
  • Share experiences, expertise, ideas and techniques to assist with the training of colleagues in the team.
  • Always operate with the highest ethical standards and be an ambassador to the company.

Qualifications required:

  • Qualified Physiotherapist, Nurse or other appropriate role currently registered with NMC or Health and Care Professions Council
  • ABPI compliant/qualified - desirable

Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a clinical environment within Spasticity or Neurology
  • Experience working within diverse cross functional teams and evidence of influencing and building relationships as part of this
  • Experience confidently presenting at national, regional or local clinical meetings
  • Practical knowledge and understanding of the NHS, including policies, protocols and political environment that may affect the work of HCPs within the NHS

Knowledge and skills Required

  • Practical knowledge and understanding of the NHS, including policies, protocols and political environment that may affect the work of HCPs within the NHS
  • Knowledge within Neurology (particularly Spasticity including product, therapeutic, competitive and scientific knowledge strongly preferred
  • Proficient in the use of business tools and IT, including virtual engagement platforms in scenarios where physical travel within the UK is not possible
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • High level of planning, organisational and problem-solving skills
