We are recruiting a full-time Nursery/EYFS Assistant to join a special educational needs (SEN) school in Maidenhead, supporting nursery and primary-aged pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in a specialist setting, working with children who have a range of additional needs.

Interest in the Early Years Foundation and in the formation of early cognitive skills and development is key for this role and your future objectives within Child Psychology.

About the Nursery and LSA Role:

  • Full-time position within an SEN school setting
  • Supporting children with a range of additional needs, including speech and language difficulties, autism, and non-verbal communication
  • Working across nursery and primary age groups
  • Helping to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment
  • Assisting with phonics, early years development, and play-based learning

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working with Early Years children in a UK school or nursery setting is essential
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs (e.g. autism, speech and language difficulties, non-verbal communication)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualifications are an advantage but not essential
  • Graduate and non graduate role dependent on aspirations in therapy
  • Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Educational references from the last two years
