This is an exciting opportunity for an Paint Shop Manager to join a leading aerospace manufacturing business. A company with a commitment to innovation and reliability, their pioneering technology is complemented by the dedication of their skilled team.

Location: Maidenhead

Paint Shop Manager Role:
Lead and drive the paint shop team to meet operational KPIs and delivery targets. Develop, monitor, and prioritise production plans while managing a high-performing team.

Paint Shop Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute production plans to meet delivery and arrears targets.
  • Lead and support the paint/prep team, ensuring job expectations are communicated and met.
  • Provide weekly priority feedback to VS managers.
  • Implement improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Collaborate with Operations leadership to resolve paint shop challenges.
  • Recruit, develop, and appraise team members, setting annual targets.
  • Manage paint and consumable inventory.
  • Plan future capacity and execute burn down plans as needed.
  • Maintain paint shop equipment and manage SHE issues for a safe work environment.
  • Offer technical support on painting, prepping, masking, and de-masking.
  • Ensure quality requirements are met in collaboration with Quality Assurance.

Paint Shop Manager Qualifications and Experience:

  • Management experience with strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Paint shop experience (painting, prepping, masking, de-masking) desirable.
  • Strong planning, reporting, and organisational skills.
  • Awareness of SHE issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
