Academics LTD is working with a specialist school in Maidenhead that provides exceptional care and support for children aged 5 to 18 with additional needs, including Autism and complex behavioral challenges. They are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Autism Specialist to join their team.
Applicants with a background in Psychology or experience working with SEN children are strongly encouraged to apply. However, prior experience isn't essential-enthusiasm, resilience, and a genuine passion for working with young people are most important.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with Autism, sensory processing needs, and communication difficulties.
- Help children develop emotional regulation and social skills.
- Collaborate with experienced practitioners, therapists, and psychologists.
- Build a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.
- Remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with professionals in the SEN field, gaining firs-thand experience in behavioural management and tailored support strategies.
Role Details:
- Position: Autism Practitioner
- Location: Maidenhead
- Start Date: Immediate
- Pay: £83 - £95 per day (depending on experience, training, and qualifications)
- Contract: Long-term, with potential for a permanent role
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30 am - 3:30 pm)
- Experience: Preferred but not essential
