Join our team as a SEN Teacher!

Are you passionate about working with children with complex disabilities and Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Tezlom is currently recruiting SEN Teacher to support schools and colleges based in Maidenhead.

About the Role:

  • Create and execute individual education plans for each of the students in your care
  • Communicate with other staff and family members about each student’s progress and struggles
  • Prepare detailed lesson plans at least three months in advance and submit them to administrators for approval
  • Participate in IEP (individual education plan) meetings as scheduled by the school
  • Use individualised reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness
  • Invite family members to participate in each student’s educational progress
  • Create and distribute progress reports quarterly
  • Confer with on-site therapist over disciplinary and behavioural issues with students
  • Create a safe, productive classroom environment

Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification (QTS)
  • Experience working with multiple disabilities, including autism spectrum, ADD and ADHD, learning disabilities, developmental delays and abuse/neglect issues
  • Positive, compassionate personality
  • Ability to evaluate students accurately and objectively
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills
