This is a unique opportunity to work in a specialist school in Maidenhead, supporting children with Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA), Pervasive Developmental Disorders, and a range of additional needs such as feeding tubes, hearing and visual impairments, and both verbal and non-verbal communication challenges.

About the Role:
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:45 pm
  • Pay: £95 per day, rising to £105 upon successful interview for the long-term role
  • Location: Maidenhead

Your role will involve:

  • Providing one-to-one and group support to children, helping them communicate and engage effectively.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Supporting children with feeding tubes and assisting with their physical and sensory needs.
  • Working with students who are both verbal and non-verbal, adapting your approach to their individual communication styles.
  • Demonstrating the value of education, not only to the children but to the wider school community and beyond.
