My client in East Kent is looking for a Financial Accountant / Controller to join their Financial Accounting team.
The role requires an ACA/ACCA-qualified professional with at least a few years of experience, particularly in a multinational or multicurrency environment.
Key responsibilities include leading balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring audit readiness, and supporting tax and treasury functions.
The position offers a salary of approximately £70,000 depending on experience, along with bonuses and hybrid working options.

Financial Accountant / ControllerMy client, based in East Kent is seeking a skilled and accomplished Financial Accountant / Controller to join their Financial Accounting team, responsible for balance sheet reconciliations, audit, tax, and treasury functions. You will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing the control environment, supporting internal and external audits, and ensuring compliance with statutory reporting. This role is perfect for an ACA/ACCA-qualified professional with strong organisational skills, change management experience, and the ability to work effectively in a large, complex, and dynamic environment.Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Audit: Lead balance reconciliations using new software, provide insights on balance sheet risks and opportunities, and ensure audit readiness.
Control Environment: Optimise control processes, maintain approvals, and work closely with internal audit teams.
Systems Management: Act as key user for financial systems, assist with ERP implementation issues, and drive report automation.
Tax & Treasury: Support tax submissions, manage VAT and corporation tax processes, and assist with transfer pricing and reporting.
Statutory Compliance: Ensure accurate filing of returns, including statutory and regulatory reporting.

Key Qualifications:

ACA/ACCA qualification
Strong organisational skills and senior-level communication ability
Experience in change management and working within a multinational/multicurrency environment (preferred)
Knowledge of financial systems and willingness to develop within a dynamic environment
