TPF Recruitment, Kent’s leading recruitment agency, is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a Top 15 Chartered Accountancy Practice in Maidstone. We are seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join their growing team. Idelaly you would be an Audit & Accounts Senior, looking to move away form audit, into a purely accounts focused position.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a strong background in financial reporting, statutory accounts, and consolidations to take the next step in their career within a highly respected and forward-thinking firm.

  • Prepare statutory accounts, financial reports, consolidations, and disclosures in compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP (FRS 102), and the Charities SORP.
  • Support the audit team by addressing client queries related to financial statements.
  • Assist in the finalisation of statutory financial statements as part of the audit process.
  • Serve as a primary client contact, identifying and addressing key areas of judgment in financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Stay informed on regulatory updates, ensuring compliance with industry standards and CPD requirements.
  • Provide expert financial reporting guidance and ad hoc support to clients.
  • Oversee and mentor the financial reporting team, fostering professional growth and development.
  • Deliver high-quality work within strict deadlines, ensuring adherence to professional and firm-wide standards.
  • Contribute to the firm's culture of continuous improvement, driving efficiencies and best practices.
Requirements

Financial Reporting Accountant Maidstone £45,000-£58,000

  • ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified with strong technical expertise.
  • Experience in preparing statutory financial statements and consolidations.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and Charities SORP.
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to client service.
