Management Accountant | Hybrid (1 day a week in Maidstone office) | £45k - £50k

Cobb & Jones Recruitment are supporting a well-respected business in the financial services in their search for a newly created Management Accountant role. Working collaboratively with the Finance Director who will be a hands-on mentor day to day. This role will be based 1 day a week in their Maidstone office and 4 days a week remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of monthly management accounts.
  • Reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Ad-hoc reporting requirements, working closely with internal stakeholders and Finance Director.
  • Support for other areas of the head office finance department where required with project work.
  • To continually review, identify and develop production of further management information that reviews business performance and supports/direct business activities and initiatives

The ideal candidate:

  • The ideal candidate will be actively studying with aspirations to qualify whilst learning on the job - ACA; ACCA; or CIMA.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
  • Commercially astute with good business acumen.
