Our client, a growing independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking a Personal Tax Senior to join their team in Maidstone.

The role will involve dealing with the personal tax matters for a mixed portfolio of clients.

Duties include:-

  • Preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns (including individuals, sole traders and partnerships)
  • Processing P11Ds, P11D(b), and other benefit forms.
  • Preparing Capital Gains Tax returns on residential property.
  • Tracking job progress and follow up on information requests.
  • Responding to client queries over the phone and via email.
  • Maintaining organised client files and records both electronically and physically.
  • Liaising with HMRC matters on behalf of clients.
  • Reporting to the tax manager.

You will ideally have at least 2-3 years personal tax experience working for a firm of accountants and either hold a professional qualification such as ATT and/or CTA, although the firm do also offer study support if required after an initial probationary period. A good understanding of Capital Gains Tax would also be an advantage, along with a knowledge of Word, Excel, XERO and Sage.
