RHL Recruitment is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Auditor for our Client, a global leader in audit, tax, advisory, and consulting services. With ongoing expansion in their Kent office, this is a great opportunity to contribute to their growth.

You will lead multiple audit engagements, manage a diverse client portfolio, and ensure the highest standards of compliance and professional excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong auditing experience, excellent client relationship skills, and leadership experience.

The Role:

  • Manage a portfolio of audit clients across various industries, including SMEs, large enterprises
  • Plan and oversee end-to-end audit engagements, ensuring the work aligns with applicable frameworks (e.g., ISA, GAAS, IFRS).
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs and managing expectations throughout the audit process.
  • Demonstrating personal commitment to work and team success; showing positive attitude and enthusiasm for work and taking initiative to improve process/situations when appropriate.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to junior team members.
  • Act as a vital part of the team, often serving as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their queries and requirements are managed promptly and professionally on a daily basis.
  • Anticipating client needs and communicating effectively with clients in both written and verbal exchanges.
  • Proactively anticipate client needs, maintaining clear and effective communication channels to foster long-term relationships and deliver solutions tailored to their business goals.
  • Represent the firm with the highest standards of professionalism, consistently acting in the best interests of the organisation and maintaining Integrity in all dealings.
  • Support the planning, execution, and finalisation of audit assignments, providing innovative solutions to challenges and seeking input for areas requiring additional expertise.
  • Understand and apply the firm's policies related to risk management, ensuring all processes comply with relevant business, legal, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Showing a sense of urgency, with a strong focus on detail, accuracy, and quality in all deliverables, contributing to the timely and successful completion of client projects.
  • Identify potential sales opportunities, contributing to the firm's growth by supporting initiatives that expand client relationships and services.
  • Identify areas for improvement in client business processes, offering recommendations and assisting with the preparation of comprehensive Audit findings reports.
  • Monitor progress against audit budgets, maintaining transparency by identifying and explaining variances to the relevant managers or stakeholders.


Requirements:

  • Studying towards or hold a professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • Relevant experience in audit, accounting, or financial services, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a professional environment.
  • Act as a role model for more junior members of the team, providing on-the-job coaching.
  • Solid understanding and application of UKGAAP accounting fundamentals and applications.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, with Strong Excel skills and software tools, ideally Caseware
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when required.
  • Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and a proactive attitude toward professional challenges.
