About The Company:We are delighted to assist a thriving business based in the heart of Maidstone with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant. The successful candidate will join a small but supportive team, working alongside another Accounts Assistant and reporting directly to the Head of Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an exciting, forward-thinking company at a pivotal point in their growth.The Role:As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the finance team, handling a variety of day-to-day accounting tasks. Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing accounts payable and receivable
  • Overseeing purchase and sales ledgers
  • Preparing management reports
  • Handling VAT returns
  • Conducting credit control
  • Processing payroll
  • Managing employee expenses
Desirable Skills:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar finance role
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to tasks
  • Strong experience with transactional accounting
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ideally Xero
  • A good working knowledge of Excel
