About The Company:We are delighted to be assisting an exciting and rapidly growing business based in the heart of Maidstone, who is looking to recruit a Senior Accounts Assistant to play a vital role in their financial operations. If you have a strong transactional accounting experience, this is the role for you!The Role:As Senior Accounts Assistant you will primarily handle the day-to-day transactional duties and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial operations, contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.  Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of invoices
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of supplier accounts to resolve any discrepancies
  • Oversee credit control processes, including chasing outstanding payments and managing customer relationships to ensure timely collections
  • Assist with month end and year end closing procedures, including the preparation of journal entries
  • Collaborate with the finance team to improve administrative processes, enhancing overall efficiency
Desirable Skills:
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting role
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
  • Studying AAT/ ACCA/ CIMA would be is desirable
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
