Reed Accountancy & Finance are seeking a Trainee Accounts Assistant to join our client's team in their Maidstone office. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in legal finance, providing daily accounting services on a 6-month contract. 

Trainee Accounts Assistant Day-to-day of the role:
  • Monitor and manage electronic transactions using banking software.
  • Execute required financial transactions as directed by team members.
  • Process and record billing information into the financial system.
  • Conduct daily reconciliations of both office and client bank accounts.
  • Prepare and complete daily banking requirements.
  • Generate and record cheques for office and client needs based on requests.
  • Handle supplier invoices, ensuring they are recorded and paid promptly.
  • Maintain client accounts with high accuracy and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Organize and file financial summaries daily and perform end-of-day system checks.
  • Provide support to the Accounts Manager as required.
  • Comply with all relevant financial regulations and quality control policies.
  • Perform additional tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
Trainee Accounts Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • GCSE standard education or equivalent.
  • Numerate with a strong ability to demonstrate accuracy in work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Team player with a collaborative attitude.
  • Previous experience as a cashier or accounts clerk is desirable but not essential.
