Description
The Operations Director will report into the SVP and will provide leadership and strategic management to the Operations teams in the UK and Europe. Based on site in Kent, you will have responsibility for the EU operation which will include; forecast consolidation, 3PL relationship management and domestic shipping arrangements.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver on operational KPI's around Logistics, Inventory, Customer Support, Service and Overhead costs.
- Drive efficiencies across Europe for a lean and simplified operational set up, whilst maintaining agreed customer service levels.
- Work closely with the EU sales function to ensure timely and effective operational support of their strategic growth plans.
- Manage the site infrastructure to ensure a safe, productive and efficient workplace is maintained.
- Ensure Operations teams maintain constructive working relationships with core functions in HQ.
- Manage all operations related vendor relationships.
- Ensure the department operates in compliance with all relevant external agencies' regulatory and legal requirements as well as the company's internal governance guidelines.
Profile
The successful Operations Director will live within a commuting distance of our client's operation in Kent and be able to demonstrate the following experience:
- Have previously held a senior logistics role within a consumer led business.
- A track record of managing 3rd party logistics provider performance and a dedication to continuous improvement.
- In depth knowledge and experience of business functions and principles/practices.
- A high-performing leader, experienced in implementing transformational change within a complex environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with high emotional intelligence.
- An ability to communicate performance date effectively across diverse levels in the business.
- Solutions oriented in your approach, while fostering good team spirit.

Job Offer
- An attractive salary package ranging from £75,000 to £80,000 per annum.
