Company Description:
A precision engineering company is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer to review quality processes & procedures and implement improvements to ensure they meet all required standards. This role offers the opportunity for someone with the skillset below to progress into a Quality Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Implement quality management systems
- Manage warranty claims
- Test products and equipment to ensure specifications are met.
- Implement corrective actions and document to ensure same mistakes don’t happen again.
- Create quality documentation including work instructions and control plans.
- Analyse defects to identify trends in issues.
- Create internal/external audits plans
- Carry out audits - both internal & external (visiting supplier sites as needed for audits)
Skills & Experience:
- Experienced Quality Engineer within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Demonstrable experience of ISO9001 / IATF 16949
- Skilled in LEAN / Six Sigma to make improvements and build on efficiency
- Knowledge and experience of the following quality tools:
- Control Plan Creation, Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEA, MSA, PPAP, APQP & 8D Problem Solving
