Reed Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our clients team on a temporary basis in Yalding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the company’s accounts payable processes and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
Accounts Payable Clerk Key Responsibilities:
- Process incoming invoices, verifying accuracy, approvals, and account coding in accordance with company policies.
- Prepare and perform payment runs, including checks, electronic transfers, and credit card payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies or queries related to accounts payable.
- Maintain vendor files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures and provide support for internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with the finance team and other departments to improve AP processes and efficiency.
Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and data entry.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
