Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Maidstone, Kent
Salary: 30,000 - 32,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Qualifications: AAT, ACCA, BSc in Accounting (or equivalent) preferred

Are you a detail-oriented Bookkeeper looking for an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic accountancy firm in Maidstone? We are seeking a skilled professional to manage accounts for a portfolio of our clients and support our senior accountants with accurate financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and build client accounts to trial balance level, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
Manage accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, providing tailored financial services and support.
Post sales and purchase ledger entries, manage day books, and record transactions efficiently.
Reconcile bank statements and perform month-end adjustments.
Assist with VAT returns, payroll, and other general bookkeeping tasks.
Work closely with senior accountants to ensure smooth preparation of accounts.
Communicate effectively with clients, delivering exceptional service and fostering strong relationships.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience in bookkeeping, preferably within an accountancy firm or a similar environment.
Proven ability to manage accounts for a portfolio of clients.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
AAT, ACCA, BSc in Accounting, or equivalent qualification preferred.
