Senior Account Manager – Marketing

Rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced Account Manager from an agency background from any sector, to join an award-winning team of marketing professionals, based in mid Kent! My client is an established full stack PR & Marketing Agency and are a recognised leader within their field!

Working as an Account Manager, you will be managing a portfolio of existing clients, developing the relationship to ensure exceptional delivery, retention and growth of the account.

A day in the life of an Account Manager within this vibrant agency will be fast paced, and could include:

  • Being the ‘go to’ person for your portfolio of clients, on hand to deal with the customer at any point, with a focus on developing exceptional relationships!
  • Acting as a true consultant, pushing back where necessary and advising the client where necessary if changes are required
  • Presenting campaign ideas or new business proposals to a range of b2b clients… but don’t worry – you’ll have plenty of support!
  • Acting as a pro-active partner to your clients, ensuring you are receiving and understanding all briefs, relaying to the
  • Extensive communication with both internal teams and external suppliers and stakeholders in order to ensure the brief is met, and expectations are exceeded!
  • Monitoring campaign performance, feedback and insight in order to report accurately and present results in a positive, credible way
  • Travel, sometimes at short notice, both nationally and internationally, although meetings will also be held on Teams
  • Spotting opportunities for growth with subsidiary companies, or other organisations
  • Writing creative and engaging proposals, with the support of the wider team
  • Attending events and acting as a brand ambassador!
  • Account planning – methodical, organised approach required
  • Working to deadlines
  • Juggling multiple priorities
  • Negotiating and managing service level agreements and contracts
  • Line management of an Account Manager.
  • Anything else as required!

No two days will be the same in this role!

Account Manager / Senior Account Managers within this business will have:

  • Previous experience working in a client facing role within a Marketing or PR agency; Account Exec, Manager or Seniors will be considered, but agency experience is critical, whatever the sector
  • B2B Marketing and PR experience
  • A collaborative approach, able to work with all stakeholders
  • Confidence, and are able to push back on their clients
  • An eye for a new opportunity!
  • Likeability and creativity
  • Organisational skills akin to a top PA!
  • The ability to work well under pressure managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • High personal standards, taking pride in their appearance and social skills

Working as part of a team of 30 people, the Account Manager will be an integral member of this team. Learning from everyone and with the opportunity to upskill and potentially undertake further courses to do so if relevant, those who really make an impact will be offered progression. Working in cool, creative offices in a buzzy central location with parking on site, you can work flexibly, in a supportive and exceptional team!
