I am working with a full service Marketing Agency who are now looking to bring on a Managing Director to their team due to entering an exciting new phase of the business from having been owner-managed to going into an EOT (Employee Ownership Trust.) and the share sale includes the creation of EMI share options for the incoming Managing Director, making this a really unique opportunity for someone to accrue shares in the business annually. The main focus of the role will be to oversee all business operations, people and Clients. As Managing Director you will be the highest ranking manager in the Agency and will be responsible for the overall success of the business. The perfect person for this role will come from a Director level who has agency experience and understands how to drive one forward- along with aligned visions of working with a B Corp company.

Duties of the role:

? Develop and execute the company’s business plan in order to attain the goals of the board and shareholders

? Provide strategic advice to the board and Chairperson so that they will have accurate view of the market and the company’s future

? Prepare and implement business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost-effective operations and client activities

? Communicate and maintain trust relationships with staff, clients, and the board

? Oversee the company’s financial performance

? Develop the commercial opportunities working closely with the team to ensure financial targets are being achieved

? Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of the team providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance

? Oversee the recruitment process, including performance and probation reviews

? Analyse problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth and financial decisions.

Requirements and skills:

? 10 years+ proven experience as Managing Director or other Directorship position

? Demonstrable experience in developing strategic business plans ( Agency very desirable) 

? A very high level of commercial awareness

? Excellent organisational and leadership skills

? Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

? Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities

? Excellent negotiation and ‘crisis management’ abilities, including making difficult client
