Working within a collaborative team, you will provide professional, impartial IAG to prison residents, motivating them, developing work-related skills, and providing support to help them find employment, education, training, apprenticeships, or volunteering opportunities upon release.
You will also manage and support a caseload of peer mentors and provide inspirational IAG and Employability programmes in 1:1 and group sessions.
We are looking for an experienced Careers Adviser to work across the HMP Maidstone and HMP East Sutton Park sites on a part-time basis.
Contract: Permanent - Part-time (three/ four days a week)

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- An IAG qualification at level 4 or above is essential for this role.
- You must also be able to build effective and professional relationships with individual clients, have a non-judgmental attitude, and desire to support people in fulfilling their potential.
- A commitment to undertake all necessary training for the role
- Experience in working with partners to support beneficiaries to succeed/ progress
- Experience in supporting and mentoring beneficiaries face-to-face or in group settings
- All appointees will be subject to an enhanced DBS Check and Prison Vetting Clearance.
Desirable
- AET qualification at Level 3 X
- Experience working with offenders either in prison or the community
