Our client, one of the UK’s leaders in Removals and Storage, is seeking an HGV Driver to join their busy team based in Kent. They have been moving households and business for over a century locally, nationally, and worldwide.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within Removals. This is a full-time, permanent position. The working hours are Monday - Friday, 7am - 5pm.
Any work carried out that is past 5pm will be paid at 1.5x the hourly rate. Any overtime will also be paid 1.5 x the hourly rate on a Saturday and 2 x the hourly rate on a Sunday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the courteous interface with customers and ensure timetables and service expectations are maintained.
- Driving long or short distances.
- The role is physically demanding and involves packing, wrapping, loading, and unloading our customer’s goods.
- May involve some weekend working.
- You will be responsible for undertaking the duties of a Move Team Member, also be able to demonstrate the potential and desire to develop towards the Move Team Leader role.
- Generally working locally although some nights you will be required to work away within the UK.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in removals.
- Excellent spoken and written English.
- Clean UK Driving licence.
- Good level of fitness as heavy lifting is required.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
