Our clients residential care home in Maidstone is looking for an enthusiastic Chef Assistant to join their culinary team. If you have a background in catering and a passion for creating nutritious, delicious meals that bring joy to others, I'd love to hear from you!
Position Details:- Working Hours:
- 7:00 am - 4:00 pm or 7:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Days: Monday to Friday with alternate weekend shifts
- Contract: Permanent, full-time role
- Competitive pay rate of £12.83 - £13.00 per hour, based on experience

- Assist the Head Chef with daily meal preparation, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
- Create appetizing, nutritious meals tailored to residents' dietary requirements and preferences
- Cover for the Head Chef in their absence, managing the kitchen operations smoothly and efficiently
- Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards in line with food safety regulations
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and manage food storage effectively
- Experience: Previous catering experience, ideally in a similar environment
- Skills: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility: Willing to work alternate weekends and cover shifts as needed
