This is a full-time, position focused on a variety of tasks, including small-scale development, pilot-scale polymer synthesis, full-scale manufacturing trials, and product performance testing.

The R & D Chemist will be reporting to the Lead Scientist and collaborate closely with other team members and providing technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test polymer syntheses and formulations, progressing from laboratory scale to coating line trials and full-scale plant production.
  • Conduct hands-on testing of materials using a range of analytical equipment.
  • Accurately record and clearly report experimental results.
  • Work closely with colleagues from Quality, and Operations as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Education and Experience

  • BSc, MSc in chemistry, polymer science, materials science, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Relevant industrial experience is beneficial
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Self-motivated, inquisitive, proactive, with a hands-on approach.
  • Strong focus on safety and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
