Do you have industry experience within analytical chemistry? Do you have previous experience supervising junior scientists? We are currently offering the opportunity for a new chemist to join a contract analytical laboratory.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced scientist to join a growing inorganics department.

The Role

As a Senior Inorganic Chemist, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a small team of junior scientists,
  • Supporting the Team Leader / Lab Manager with co-ordination of the lab,
  • Preparation of laboratory samples and reagents,
  • Equipment troubleshooting & maintenance.

Skills and Experience Needed

The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
  • BSc / MSc / equivalent work experience in Chemistry or similar (essential).
  • Prior industry experience with analytical techniques (e.g., GC-MS, GC, HPLC, LC-MS) (essential).
  • Prior experience supervising / training junior staff members (essential).
  • Knowledge & hands-on experience with ion chromatography and / or combustion chemistry (essential).
