Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to represent our client, a business who manufacture high quality products, working to the highest quality standards and focused on ensuring customer satisfaction.Recruiting for a Business Development Manager (BDM), this brand new opportunity reports into the Managing Director, a driven and inspirational business leader. Offering an attractive salary, plus commission, on-site parking and holidays rising with service, this role is offered with hybrid working (you will need to be Kent based). Working hours of Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-1pmWorking closely with the Managing Director to grow existing business levels and seek out new opportunities, the BDM is an exciting new role and will involve identifying and driving all new sales activities, targeting key accounts within known and established market sectors within the industry. The role will also involve activities relating to existing account management. Key Responsibilities

  • Create strategies to successfully generate leads and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and engage with new leads and opportunities including new markets, customers, and partnerships as well as new products and services
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospects, qualifying their needs and tailoring proposals to suit their requirements.
  • Liaise closely with the support functions, within the company, to provide best possible response to prospect’s needs.
  • Present quotations and effectively negotiate commercial and contractual terms.
  • Present the company proposition passionately and confidently.
  • Attend conferences and events to successfully build a network of contacts and support business growth
  • Create sales forecasts and reports.
  • Manage CRM database effectively and accurately.
  • Oversee any marketing activities to support sales strategies.
  • Effectively track all quotes through to completion and close business in line with targets.
  • Utilise all resource within group to proactively close any live opportunity.

Person Specification

  • Results driven experienced sales professional with tenacity and drive to explore new business.
  • Must have a flare for innovation, positive attitude and excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience of driving a sales pipeline; confident exceeding targets and demonstrates Initiative with a strong understanding on what makes a business successful.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time.
  • Capacity to work under pressure and ability to work to timelines.
  • Manufacturing industry experience
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Experience working with a CRM system.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Project management skills.
  • Ability to forecast and apply an analytical approach.
  • Good report writing skills.
  • Educated to at least A Level or equivalent.
  • Target orientated
  • A full, clean driving license
