Hays are recruiting a Freight Sales Account Manager for our client based in Maidstone. This is a full-time position for the successful candidate.
£30,000 BasicCommission bonusMonday to Friday 8:30am - 5pm with a 1-hour lunch breakKey Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, and generate new business opportunities within the freight and logistics industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target companies to expand their client base.
- Collaborate with the operations team to understand service capabilities and develop custom freight solutions for clients.
- Prepare and present compelling sales pitches, proposals, and presentations to prospective clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customers need to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue growth goals set by the company.
- Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activity, pipeline status, and client feedback to management.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to promote the company and its services.
Key Requirements:
- Strong understanding of freight operations, including international shipping, transportation modes, and customs regulations.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
