Job Summary for Head of Sales:
You will sell multi-utility solutions to new and existing clients in the residential, commercial, industrial, and renewables sectors. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, intelligent sales leader with a proven track record of delivering business targets by successfully securing multi-million-pound projects.
This role requires an in-depth understanding of the ICP / Multi Utility Market, including how both regulated and non-regulated utility models work.
Key Responsibilities for Head of Sales:
- Develop a robust new pipeline of new business and customers within the South of England.
- Identify, reach, and influence key utility decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers within targeted clients, sectors, and geographical areas.
- Work closely with senior executives to develop sales strategies and tactics to secure business.
- Build and lead the sales team to exceed customer expectations and develop multi-year relationships.
- Meet and/or exceed sales and new business goals.
Key Skills and Competencies for Head of Sales:
- Minimum 5 years direct experience selling Multi Utility solutions.
- Successful track record of exceeding sales quotas and new business targets.
- Track record of success in sales for start-ups or new product lines in an existing company. You must be able to immediately demonstrate specific and current industry expertise and contacts, which can be leveraged from day one to quickly build a strong business pipeline and meet sales targets.
- Thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where the expectation is to contribute not only to client success and revenue but also to product roadmap and company strategy.
- Capable of identifying, reaching, and influencing key decision-makers, stakeholders, and industry influencers within targeted clients, sectors, and geographical territory.
- Demonstrated success working closely with senior managers to develop sales strategies and tactics to close business opportunities.
- Client advocate that develops deep relationships throughout an organization.
- Up to 50%+ travel and/or customer face time.
- Significant preference will be shown towards a candidate that understands the commercial arrangements that underpin ICP works and can work at Director Level presenting and explaining commercial opportunities.
