As a Deputy Manager, you will be a crucial part of our leadership team, working alongside the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home. You will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality care, emotional support, and guidance to both the children and the team. In the absence of the Registered Manager, you will take full responsibility for the home, ensuring all operations run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership & Support: Assist the Registered Manager in all aspects of managing the home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.

  • Quality Care: Deliver the highest level of care in line with individual care plans, ensuring children feel safe, valued, and supported.

  • Team Management: Support, supervise, and develop staff, ensuring they receive appropriate training and professional growth opportunities.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain high standards of care in accordance with Ofsted regulations, ensuring all legal requirements are met.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with external professionals, families, and stakeholders to create tailored care plans for each child.

  • Crisis Management: Provide stability and support in challenging situations, ensuring children’s emotional and physical well-being remains the top priority.

  • Continuous Improvement: Keep up to date with legislation and best practices, implementing necessary changes to maintain excellence in care delivery.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a leadership role within children’s residential care.

  • Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) required. Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willingness to work towards) preferred.

  • Passion & Dedication: A deep commitment to providing outstanding care and empowering children.
