KM Recruitment is seeking a Residential Childcare Assessor/Trainer for a home and field-based role covering East Sussex and Kent.
The position offers a salary between £30,000 and £37,000, with the potential for an additional £10,000 in bonuses depending on qualifications and experience.
Candidates must hold a recognized Assessor award or a Level 3 teaching qualification, along with experience delivering Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare at Levels 4 or 5.
A minimum of three years of experience in a Deputy Manager role within a Residential Childcare setting is required, along with a Level 3 qualification in the field.
The role involves assessing learners, supporting them with Functional Skills, and managing documentation, with flexibility for travel being essential.

Hold either a recognised Assessor award: D32/33, A1, CAVA or TAQA OR Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (PTLLS/AET).
Ideally have experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Residential Childcare, at Level 4 or Level 5.
Must hold strong competency at Deputy Manager level or above, within a Residential Childcare setting.
Must hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare as a minimum.
Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Must be flexible with travel.

Duties include:

Assessand support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships, at Level 4 or Level 5 (depending on competency).
Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
Support, advise and motivate learners.
Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
