We are thrilled to announce the opening of a new nursery in Lenham and are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who holds a Level 2 qualification in Childcare and is eager to contribute to the development and care of young children in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:- Assist in the planning and implementation of activities that promote child development and learning.
- Support the creation of a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
- Aid in the preparation of meals and snacks and help to maintain hygiene and cleanliness standards in the nursery.
- Work closely with other nursery staff to monitor the progress and needs of children.
- Engage with children in various activities that encourage their social, emotional, and physical development.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.
- Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to continuously improve the quality of care provided.
- Level 2 qualification in Childcare or equivalent.
- Experience working in a nursery setting is preferred but not essential.
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both in teams and independently.
