We are seeking a committed and passionate Deputy Manager who is dedicated to making a meaningful impact in Children’s Care.

The Role: As the Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and leading the staff team, while ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained for each child. You will play a key role in creating a nurturing and safe environment where children feel accepted and supported. This role involves overseeing the welfare of both children and staff, managing daily operations, and ensuring placement plans, policies, and procedures are followed:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the children’s home, ensuring it functions in line with current legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Lead and support the residential workers, providing supervision, guidance, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure the welfare and care of each child is prioritized, promoting their well-being and development.
  • Take responsibility for leading shifts, supervising staff, managing rotas, and ensuring policies and risk assessments are adhered to.
  • Work closely with children to foster positive relationships, ensure safeguarding, and support their education and personal development.
  • Ensure that placement plans are followed, and all necessary reports, assessments, and paperwork are completed promptly.
Leadership and Recruitment:
  • Provide strong leadership and direction for the residential home and its staff.
  • Support in recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
  • Maintain a nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of each child, promoting their physical, emotional, and educational well-being.
  • Lead by example in upholding the standards of care, fostering a positive and inclusive environment where children feel safe and respected.

Requirements:

  • Valid driving license.
