Location: Maidstone 

Start Date: ASAP 

Day Rate: £300 - £350 per day depending on experience 

 

The Role 

Working with a leading Tier 1 Contractor who specialise in Steel frame industrial units and warehouses. 

 

The Project: 

A new build multi million pound steel frame industrial unit where you will be responsible for setting out piling, foundations and the steel frame 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage site operations and personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of construction activities.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines and regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure proper design implementation.
  • Inspect and assess the quality of work done, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to track project progress and resolve any issues.
  • Manage material procurement and oversee inventory on site.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports on progress, issues, and solutions.

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering practices.
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in using project management and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
