An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Fire Engineer to join the Fire Engineering team within the consulting arm of a large and well-established group, in their Kent HQ.

As a Graduate Fire Engineer, you will collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and designers, contributing to the fire safety design process and ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in fire engineering while working on a variety of projects in a supportive and experienced team.

The Graduate Fire Engineer's Role

As the Graduate Fire Engineer you will be part of a growing team of seven, working on fire engineering solutions for the residential sector, primarily new-build developments, with some involvement in existing two-storey buildings.

  • Assist in delivering fire engineering solutions for new-build residential developments and existing two-storey buildings.
  • Work closely with architects, contractors, and designers to integrate fire safety design into building projects.
  • Support the development of fire strategies, ensuring compliance with UK regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct fire safety assessments and contribute to design reports, risk assessments, and technical guidance.
  • Assist senior fire engineers in project delivery, attending design meetings and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
The Successful Graduate Fire Engineer Will Have
  • A degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen interest in fire safety and engineering design.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and building codes (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
