SALARY:25,000 plus commission

This company is a growing group of companies within the media and publications industry.This company, a modern and dynamic communications business across many business-to-business sectors are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Sale/Advertising Manger to join their team. This organisation work fully office based, Monday to Friday with the opportunity to attend relevant trade shows throughout the year.

THE JOB

This exciting Sale/Advertising Manager job, based from their offices in Maidstone is a full time permanent position. Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, as Advertising Manager you will be responsible for achieving agreed sales targets and ensure successful administration to meet the production schedule.

Your duties will include:

  • Telephone and email liaison with both clients and agents. This involves approximately 40 - 50 positive sales and follow up calls per day, whilst building up a rapport with clients / agents through regular contact.
  • To ensure sufficient sales to achieve publication despatch date as advised annually.
  • To ensure signed confirmation of orders are received and accurately administered before moving any advertising copy to the production services and passing the confirmation to the Journal Secretary.
  • To attend shows and exhibitions. You may be expected to spend some time away from home to attend these shows.
  • To liaise with all magazine team members to ensure the smooth running of the publication.
  • To know at all times the confirmed revenue for the current and future issues in addition to sales awaiting final processing.
  • To occasionally carry out other duties, as are within your capabilities and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the business. ?

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in a sales role preferably in advertising or media
  • The ability to communicate effectively over the phone
  • Proven track record of hitting targets and deadlines
  • The ability to present
  • Clear and concise communicator

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO

  • A basic salary of 25,000
  • Commission - 1,000 per target hit (10 targets a year)
