Gluer Machine Operator

Hays are recruiting for a Glue Machine Operator for our client based in the Medway Towns area. This is a full-time position for the successful candidate.Job Type: Full-timePay: £30K - £35k (Subject to experience)Working Hours:Alternating weekly shifts; 6am - 1:30pm & 1:30pm - 9pm. Initial working hours will be double days whilst training.Main Responsibilities of a Gluer Machine Operator:* Producing finished cartons of various styles, complexity, and materials across a range of equipment, both efficiently and to a high degree of quality* General machine maintenance* Setting up and running straight line glue jobs and crash lock boxes manufactured from folding cardboard.* Achieve a daily production plan.* Passing of own work* Advising Team Leader(s) of any consumable stock requirements* Ensuring machine packers are aware of their duties and are monitored accordingly.* Comply will all company health and safety procedures.Skills and Attributes of a Gluer Machine Operator:* Being able to work well within both a team and in small partnerships.* Able to show a high degree of initiative and flexibility.* Ability and willingness to share knowledge and skills with other members of the team.* Confident and enthusiastic with a desire to learn and develop through continuous training.* Good communication skills.* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.If you are interested in the position and would like to know more, please apply online with your CV.
